Kate Schneider

Kate Schneider, M.Ed., NCC

Resident in Counseling

Life can sometimes have a way of making you feel like you’re struggling to come up for air – weighed down by the stressors, pressures, and challenges we face everyday. It is a brave step to seek out additional support through professional counseling, and frankly, something I believe all humans of any age can benefit from. I believe that we are all capable of change and am committed to providing a space that allows you to decompress and take a breath.

I am passionate about working with children, adolescents and young adults who are experiencing a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, interpersonal/relationship conflict, life transitions, trauma, behavior problems and family conflict. Drawing from a variety of techniques and approaches founded in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Mindfulness, our work together will help you recognize your own strengths and empower you with the skills and tools to face the challenges of life.

My goal as a counselor is to provide an individualized experience – meeting you where you are at and tailored to you and your needs. I am committed to creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that helps facilitate positive change and growth.
