Megan Sharkey

Graduate Intern

Do you find yourself feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or hopeless?

Are you seeking guidance through life’s various challenges and transitions?

As your counselor, I am here to support you on your journey of personal growth and empowerment.

I aim to foster a safe and inclusive space conducive to personal growth and affirmation. I believe growth starts with the foundation of trust, cultivated through empathy, active listening, and respect. If you or your child are facing personal struggles, I offer tailored counseling services to meet my clients’ specific needs. Together, we’ll work collaboratively to develop strategies for overcoming challenges and achieving your goals.

With 10 years of experience as an elementary/middle school educator, I have a deep understanding of the unique challenges young people face and the ability to help them feel seen and heard. Whether you’re a student struggling with academic pressures, a parent concerned about your child’s social and emotional well-being, or an individual struggling to navigate transitions, I am here to help you reach your full potential and lead a fulfilling life.

If you’re ready to embark on a journey of growth and transformation, I invite you to reach out and schedule a consultation. Together, we can explore how counseling can support you or your child on the path to greater well-being.

I grew up in New Jersey, but have been a proud Virginian for 4 years. When I’m not in session, you can find me practicing my golf game, finding new ways to stay active, traveling to new destinations and immersing myself in various cultures, and cuddling with my puppy, Nova.
