Morgan Moore, MSW

Supervisee in Social Work

At our core, we all need connection, curiosity, play, compassion, and to be truly seen and delighted in. These are the foundations of being human—whether in infancy, childhood, or adulthood. I believe healing happens in relationships, and my work is centered on creating spaces where people feel safe to explore, grow, and embrace who they are. Through a non-directive, collaborative approach, I help clients of all ages build self-understanding, emotional regulation, and resilience in a way that honors their unique experiences and needs.

I specialize in trauma, neurodiversity (Autism, ADHD), infant mental health, and lifespan mental health. My work includes providing parent-infant support, child and family therapy, and individual therapy across the lifespan, with an emphasis on attachment, self-regulation, and resilience. I integrate play therapy, expressive arts, and sensory-based regulation models to help children and families build connection, understanding, and coping skills. Whether through child-centered play therapy, sand tray, expressive nature play, or sensory-informed interventions, I tailor my approach to each client’s unique needs and experiences.

I draw from trauma-informed frameworks, neurobiology of attachment, and developmental science to support healing. My approach is grounded in a deep understanding of how our nervous system, emotions, and experiences are interconnected. I integrate Polyvagal Theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and somatic therapies to support clients in achieving emotional regulation, resilience, and a sense of safety.

My practice is deeply collaborative. I believe behavior is communication, and I work closely with families and communities to ensure that they are part of the therapeutic process when needed. Whether supporting parents of neurodivergent children, late-diagnosed autistic and ADHD adults, first responder and military families, or individuals healing from trauma, I strive to create a space where clients feel seen, validated, and empowered to make meaningful change in their lives.

In addition to my clinical work, I am passionate about bridging research and practice. I have been involved in community outreach, research, and interdisciplinary initiatives supporting first responders and neurodivergent individuals. I am a former LEND (Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities) trainee, hold certification in Applied Educational Neuroscience, and am working toward my Infant Mental Health Endorsement (IMH-E) and Registered Play Therapist (RPT) certification. I have also served as a consumer and program reviewer for the CDMRP Autism Research Program, contributing to initiatives that support autism research and advocacy.

I believe that evidence-based practices and relationship-centered approaches are the foundation for healing and growth at all stages of life.

MORE ABOUT ME:

In my free time, you’ll often find me with a children’s book in hand—because I love the magic they hold and, let’s be honest, I can actually finish them. I’m a homeschooling parent of three, a military and first responder spouse, and a nature appreciator (note: not enthusiast). I’m also an experimental home cook, finding joy in creating (mostly edible) dishes to share with family and friends. I embrace the imperfections in life, finding humor in the chaos of it all. I treasure the quiet moments—watching a storm roll in over the mountains or seeing curiosity spark in a child’s eyes. These moments ground me, reminding me to slow down and appreciate the little things.
