Counselor Profile

Nydya Treminio

Graduate Intern

Are you feeling a bit lost or confused? Maybe even feeling overwhelmed? Are you experiencing life changes and need extra support on how to navigate your next steps?

Life changes can be scary, and it could even feel lonely. No matter where you are on your journey, I will work alongside you to make sure you feel seen, heard, respected and overall supported. I believe in collaborating with my clients on their goals and creating an environment where clients can be creative, explore ideas and explore who they are. On this journey, clients are encouraged to focus on personal growth, self-discovery, problem-solving, acceptance, and meaning making.

I believe sessions should be tailored to meet the client’s needs to prioritize the client’s mental health and well-being. I use an integrative approach to meet each client’s needs, drawing from modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered, Psychodynamic, Narrative, Play therapy, Strength-based, Existential, Holistic and Faith-Based approaches.

I help clients who have experiences with life transitions, anxiety, stress, fears, depression, anger management, identify issues, self-esteem, body-image, interpersonal difficulties, grief, and loss.

Overall, my hopes are that my clients feel respected and trust in their therapy experience. By working together, I hope to help my clients feel empowered, secure, and believe in themselves.
