Counselor Profile
Sara Bond, MA, NCC
Resident in Counseling
That’s where I come in. I offer a safe, supportive space where you can explore your emotions, gain insights into your behaviors, and develop effective tools for managing life’s challenges. I tailor my approach to meet you where you are in your journey, recognizing that each person’s needs, experiences, and goals are unique.
For children, I use Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT), an effective approach where children express themselves through play, art, and creative activities. I create a trusting environment where your child can freely explore their feelings and experiences. This helps them process difficult emotions, build emotional regulation, and develop key social and problem-solving skills, all through play. Additionally, CCPT strengthens family bonds by fostering a deeper understanding of your child’s emotional world, which improves communication and connection at home.
For teens, I use an integrative approach that focuses on their strengths and meets them where they are. This approach acknowledges their unique challenges, while also teaching skills to help them achieve their goals. By working collaboratively, I help teens learn effective coping strategies and build resilience, all while respecting their individuality and developmental needs.
For adults, I offer a variety of therapeutic techniques to ensure that treatment is both relevant and effective. These include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which addresses negative thought patterns; Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which helps improve emotional regulation and interpersonal skills; Person-Centered Therapy, which emphasizes unconditional positive regard and empathy; and Mindfulness Techniques, which promote present-moment awareness and stress reduction.
My goal is to help you build resilience, deepen your self-awareness, and develop practical tools that will serve you long-term. I am committed to providing a tailored approach that supports your emotional well-being and personal growth.
If you’re ready to explore how therapy can help you gain a deeper understanding of yourself and your emotions, and begin developing the skills to cope with life’s difficulties, I would be honored to work with you. My aim is to help you feel more connected to yourself, to others, and to the present moment, offering an approach that honors where you are and supports your path forward.
