Counselor Profile

Paola Paredes
Graduate Intern
Are you feeling overwhelmed? Stuck? Alone? You don’t have to have the right words to begin. I believe therapy should be a place where support and collaboration guide you to success. My goal as a counselor is to help a client feel seen, heard, and empowered.
My approach is client-centered, collaborative, and solution-focused. I draw from approaches such as CBT, DBT, and solution-focused therapy to create strong coping skills, increase emotional awareness, and build confidence throughout one’s lifetime. I work on identifying a client’s strengths and learning practical strategies to work towards meaningful change.
MORE ABOUT ME:
Outside of the counseling space, I am a firm believer in creativity, balance, and connection. I spend my days surrounded by my loved ones and my three fur babies. I love self-care and giving myself and others little spa days. My current favorite activity is painting my own press-on nails and finding new experiences like art & crafts activities in my community!
