The Power of Mindfulness

Research shows that mindfulness is an effective and accessible way to manage anxiety by increasing awareness and relating to our experiences in a new way. Mindfulness involves working with our attention and perception in ways that reduce stress and rumination, improve mood regulation, and enhance focus and concentration. It can also impact blood pressure, sleep quality, and other health outcomes.

Whether you are already familiar with mindfulness or wondering how to begin, this eight-week group will introduce you to a variety of exercises you can incorporate into your life now. Each 90-minute session includes guided exercises along with examples, stories, and group discussion.

Program highlights:

  • Experiential learning through step-by-step guided exercises
  • Sessions dedicated to being right where you are, our storytelling minds, cultivating compassion, and developing resilience
