“Life can only be understood backwards; but it must be lived forwards.” – Søren Kierkegaard

Facing challenges is a part of being human, and a part of the journey that shouldn’t be taken alone. At its core, therapy is a supportive
relationship built on empathy, understanding, and listening. In the fast-paced world we live in, it can be hard to slow down and listen to ourselves, let alone find someone else who will listen intently to our hopes, fears, and struggles.

This is the first goal of a therapist, to listen. As we journey together, it’s also my aim to help you find skills and tools to not only reflect on where you’ve been, but move closer to wholeness, healing, and alignment with the things that matter most to you. To that end, I draw from approaches including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and existential therapy.

Practically, that means we want to consider how our thoughts affect our feelings and behaviors, develop skills for holding life’s tensions, and think through what it means to be human. Hopefully, these guiding principles will make you feel both understood and better equipped to deal with whatever life throws at you.

In my training and professional experience, I have worked with adults, adolescents, and children dealing with a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, emotional regulation challenges, relational difficulties, spiritual and religious struggles, career and academic issues, grief and loss, and life transitions.
