Counselor Profile

Hannah Sherin

Graduate Intern

Finding support during life’s challenges can feel overwhelming, especially when emotions become difficult to manage. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed by change, struggling with anxiety, or trying to better understand yourself and your emotions, you do not have to face those experiences alone. I believe counseling should be a collaborative and supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow.

My counseling approach is client-centered, strengths-based, and rooted in collaboration. I work with children, teens, couples, and
families, and I strive to create an environment where clients feel safe showing up as their authentic selves while building confidence and learning practical tools for everyday life. I value tailoring the counseling process to meet each client’s unique needs
and goals.

I draw from approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based techniques, and solution-focused strategies to help clients strengthen coping skills, increase emotional awareness, and navigate challenges with greater confidence and resilience. My goal as
a counselor is to support clients not only through difficult moments, but throughout their growth process as they work toward greater balance, emotional well-being, and long-term personal growth.

MORE ABOUT ME:

Outside of the counseling space, I like to prioritize rest, connection, and staying active. I enjoy spending quality time with friends and family, hiking and being outdoors, and making time for activities that help me feel grounded and refreshed. On a long weekend, you can usually find me recharging at the beach with a good book in hand.
