Counselor Profile

Caitlin Manson

Graduate Intern

Mental health is deeply connected to the many different parts of our lives. Before becoming a mental health clinician, I spent several years working as a nutrition and exercise specialist in a holistic health clinic. This experience shaped the way I approach counseling today and gave me a deep appreciation for the mind-body connection. I believe that caring for our mental health means looking at the whole person and understanding the experiences, relationships, environments, and lifestyle factors that influence how we feel.
My approach to counseling is warm, collaborative, and person-centered. I strive to create a space where clients feel comfortable being themselves while exploring difficult emotions, experiences, and patterns without judgment. I believe that each person brings their own strengths into the counseling process, and I work alongside clients to help them recognize those strengths, better understand themselves, and develop skills that support meaningful and lasting change.

I enjoy supporting clients through many different stages of life, including children, adults, and couples. My clinical experience includes working with children, adolescents, and families experiencing housing instability as well as supporting runaway and homeless youth. I also have several years of experience working with children and adolescents on the autism spectrum in a behavioral health setting. These experiences have strengthened my understanding of the importance of meeting each client where they are and recognizing that there is no single approach that works for everyone.

My clinical specialties include anxiety, depression, loss and grief, trauma and emotional healing, religious trauma, deconstruction, emotional regulation, and relationship patterns. Depending on each client’s individual needs, I draw from person-centered therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), strengths-based approaches, and play-based interventions.

Whether you are navigating a difficult season of life, struggling with patterns that no longer serve you, healing from past experiences, or simply hoping to better understand yourself and your relationships, my goal is to meet you with compassion, curiosity, and authenticity. Together, we can work toward helping you feel more connected to yourself, confident in your ability to navigate challenges, and empowered to create meaningful change in your life.
