Counselor Profile

Zoe Carlini

Graduate Intern

If starting counseling feels vulnerable or intimidating, know that you are not alone. I create a space where you can feel comfortable being yourself and speaking openly about your experiences. Building trust takes time, so I prioritize developing a genuine, trusting relationship as the foundation for our work together. I also make room for humor and laughter in our sessions, even when we are discussing difficult things.

In our sessions, I may draw from person-centered counseling, mindfulness-based practices, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and strengths-based strategies. We will explore your thoughts, emotions, and patterns while identifying the values that can guide you forward. I see therapy as a tool for developing a deeper understanding of yourself and reconnecting with parts of yourself that may have become buried or difficult to access over time. Together, we will use what we discover to work toward meaningful change and create a life that is more aligned with what matters most to you

MORE ABOUT ME:

Outside of counseling, I enjoy quiet and creative activities like crocheting stuffed animals (amigurumi), playing classical guitar, or exploring nearby hiking trails.
